The Seben desktop app gives you the same experience as the web app, plus a few desktop conveniences:
- Open PDFs straight from your computer with File → Open PDF…, or double-click any PDF once Seben is the app that opens PDFs.
- Native save dialogs when you download.
Sign in with email or with your Microsoft work account, as on the web. The sign-in finishes in your browser, then Seben comes back to the front. Your theme, workspace and other settings are remembered between launches.
Updates
Updates download in the background. When one is ready, a banner and the Seben menu (File on Windows) offer Relaunch to update, and Seben restarts on the new version in a few seconds. Check for Updates… in the same menu checks on demand and tells you when you are already up to date.
Working with other apps
Checkout, Manage billing and links to other sites open in your browser. Connecting an app runs its sign-in in a Seben window that can’t read your clipboard, use your camera or open other apps. A few apps won’t sign in inside another app’s window, such as any whose sign-in uses Google, so connect those on the web. Connected apps then work on the desktop too.
Download and install
Download the app from the download page: a universal build for Mac and an x64 installer for Windows. You don’t need an account to download it. Inside Seben, Download desktop app in the account menu offers the same builds.
If SmartScreen stops the Windows installer, choose More info, then Run anyway.
The desktop app and the web app show the same documents, so you can switch between them at any time.
